General Cargo

The majority of ports can handle virtually any type of cargo, and are always willing to discuss with customers ways in which their services and facilities can be adapted and improved to meet customers’ requirements. Despite being firmly in the container age, with a vast number of commodities being carried in those boxes, not every cargo can be handled in them. "General" cargo constitutes that myriad of goods which are not liquid or bulk or containerisable: blocks of marble, cars, fruit pallets, logs, boxes, small installations or machinery parts, rolls of cables, paper or sheet metal and barrels … here are just a few examples.
