Stacking

Any container yard with FCL traffic and empty containers being received and delivered, piled, stripped, stuffed, etc., involves the engineering of a horizontal transport scheme and the use of stacking equipment that guarantees the most efficient use of space and time. In a warehouse, automated equipment is also used to stack boxes, bags, etc on top of each other and in different ways and order. Stacking equipment for Containers include Straddle Carriers, Rubber Tired Gantry Cranes (RTG’s), Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RMG’s), Reach stackers, Stackers for Empty Containers.
