Ours is a river side port in kerala.(S.India).We have to load /offload containers from barges. The loaded containers to be lifted /placed are hardly two meters below the shore level. Which type of reach stackers can be used for this purpose?Whether CalmarDRS4531-S5 (45 M.T.) would be usefull?. Whether any modification to the standrd equipment and spreader is required?,

Dear Sir,

Both DRS 4531-S5 and DRF 450 Kalamar Reach Stackers apply, only a complement must be added in the boom/spreader.

Please take into account that it is very important to consider the maximum weight you need to move, and if you have available any other equipment to these operations in the port. If you find convenient, please send that extra information.

Dear ,

Our group is also operating a river terminal in Belgium and using a reachstacker for loading/unloading barges,

We have bought the SMV 4545 TB3.

You can not use a standard adapted reachstacker for that kind of operation,

Our experience is that the machine works very good, productivity is high,

Since the size and weight of the machine is considerable higher than the standard ones, your pavement needs

special care,

I will send a complete file of the machine to the people of portvision,
